This Brooklands Farm wedding was a wedding I will never forget. The beautiful venue of Brooklands Farm coupled with shooting for the lovely Evelyn Barkey and an amazing couple made this a very great day.
I started off shooting Matt and the guys getting ready at Matt's parents cottage on Lake of Bays. The guys enjoyed a couple beers and opened some pretty cool gifts from Matt. The getting ready portion of any wedding day is always filled with anticipation. The incredible emotions and feelings that stir within can be hard to deal with for some. But, I've never been to a wedding that was a sad day. Things end up working out in the end every wedding I shoot is an honour and joy to capture.
A wedding at Brooklands Farm is always awesome. The rustic barn is perfect for couples looking at creating an intimate and unique aesthetic for their reception. The grounds of the farm are also beautiful, filled with unique places to take pictures including a dock that overlooks a large lake and forest in the background. I can't recommend this venue highly enough! Also, if you want to see more of my favourite weddings check this Gravenhurst wedding out, along with this wedding at Camp Tamakwa.
We then travelled over to the venue for the ceremony and dinner. The sun was beaming and the guests all had smiles on their faces. I think the most amazing moments came when Evelyn and I pulled Matt and Alycia away for a 30 minute sunset session. It was a truly romantic setting to be in. Finally, the night ended with some awesome sparklers and a first dance to Elton John's 'Your Song'.
