This intimate wedding on Lake Muskoka was something to remember. Dan and Jess planned to have their wedding at the Falcon's Nest Cottage - a beautiful white cottage that overlooks Lake Muskoka. I went upstairs to start photographing Jess in the final stages of getting ready with her mom alongside her.
I was pretty impressed by the master bedroom, the wide shiplap walls and beautiful decor were beautiful. It felt like something out of a magazine! Later on, Dan and Jess had their first look which was full of emotions and joy. First looks are advantageous in many ways. They save time after the ceremony, but also they're incredibly intimate and full of emotion.
The ceremony and cocktail hour was held on the massive dock that overlooked the lake. The white boathouse provided a ton of bouncing light that was gorgeous to photograph throughout the day. Dan and Jess's family were so fun to hang out with. Eventually, I convinced Dan and Jess to climb into the canoe to get some quintessential Muskoka lifestyle shots.
The light became super soft as the sun began to set, and we took some more moody photos on the dock before dinner. All in all, it was a stunning day and one to remember.
