FAQ
Each package has unique services that will give me the ability to capture your day how you want. The Essentials package is my most popular, which has 8 hours of coverage and an engagement session. 8 hours of coverage will usually cover getting ready, ceremony, family portraits, bride & groom portraits, reception, speeches, first dance, and sunset photos of the bride & groom. Share with me your vision and I will help you create something special that suit your needs best!
How do we decide what package to go for?
In general, the following are good time frames to use for photography on your wedding day:
Getting Ready: 1 hour
Family Portraits: 30 - 45 minutes
Wedding Party: 30 minutes
Bride & Groom: 1 hour - 1 hour and 15 minutes
HOW MUCH tiME DO YOU NEED FOR PHOTOS?
Do I need a second photographer?
Second photographers are great if you're having more than 100 people, or if you just want that extra coverage. They are especially helpful during a getting ready portion of the day and the ceremony. If you are both getting ready at different locations, it's impossible for one photographer to capture both. So in that case, it is helpful to have a second. For the ceremony, it's great having a second photographer to get different angles and more photos of those 'high stakes' moments that won't ever happen again. I also enjoy working alone and for most smaller weddings you won't need a second photographer.
WHAT IS THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION LIKE?
I love engagement sessions because they allow the opportunity for us to get to know each other and shoot together before the wedding day. Maybe we go to where you proposed, or where you first met. Or it can be a hike through a forest, a canoe on a lake, or something in between. You can also use the engagement photos on your invites or save the date cards!
Engagement sessions usually last between 1-1.5 hours and I'll deliver around 60-80 photos via online private gallery.
WHat HAPPENS AFTER WE BOOK WITH YOU?
After booking I will send you an email with next steps and an online wedding questionnaire that you can use to help plan your day and also give me valuable information like ceremony address, venue address, family shot list, names of your wedding party, and more info like that. We can also schedule a phone call to go over your wedding schedule a month or so out from the day. After that, the next step is your wedding day!
I love to give my couples some sneak peeks the day after their wedding! Usually around 5-10 photos to start with. My wife and I received a few photos the day after and it was so special to look back at those while the memories were so fresh.
After the sneak peeks, I'll then take 4-6 weeks to deliver all the images on an online gallery where you can view, download, share with friends and family, and order prints!
