This Burlington engagement session was one to remember. It’s that time of the year where the temperatures drop and the season of giving begins. As much as I love Christmas for the festivities, food and family gatherings, it’s all about faith for me. My faith in Christ leads me to love others, and opens my eyes to the beauty of the human spirit. Despite all the darkness in our world, when I photograph couples I feel a sense of peace from seeing love between two people. That sacrificial love that I see at weddings and enagegments reminds me of Christ’s love for us. Christmas reminds me of that, and how He came into the world to save us.
Capturing love stories through images is priceless for me, and it’s awesome to work with people who value it as much as I do. I met Shawn and Lydia at the Burlington waterfront this day. We walked the shoreline and explored different spots as the sun went down and created a gorgeous December glow. It was so special seeing these two love each other. Throughout the session I wanted to play with the light through different compositions and showcase their joy and intimacy. I think it shows.
